The Wake began with a simple image — standing at the back of a ship, watching the white trail disappear into the sea. The wake became a metaphor for life itself: the past foaming behind us for a moment before dissolving into the horizon. These songs live in that space between reflection and movement. They’re about relationships, memory, aging, resilience, and learning that not everything needs to be carried forever.

Musically, The Wake blends cinematic acoustic textures with coastal imagery and understated storytelling. There’s ocean air in the production, sunset light in the melodies, and a feeling of watching life move quietly forward. Songs like
